What Are Real Cheats in The Sims 4 and Why Survival Mode Makes a Difference

Real cheats are in-game mechanics embedded by Electronic Arts designed to alter gameplay dynamically. Unlike impossible esoteric mods, THE SIMS 4’s built-in cheat system is fully supported within Survival Mode, offering features like:

• Instant income boosts
• Instant cheat activations (cravings, glam, furniture)
• Permanent bug fixes (e.g., freedom from mandatory events)
• Full control without restrictions on companions’ actions

However, most cheat access requires turning on exclusive cheats during Survival Mode—especially for users wanting to bypass time constraints, unrealistic难度, or endless loops. This guide helps you do exactly that—legitimately within the game’s mechanics.

Step-by-Step: How to Turn ON Real Cheats in Survival Mode

Activating real cheats is simple with these universally trusted steps:

Step 1: Enter Survival Mode

• Open The Sims 4
• Launch a new or existing game with Survival Mode selected
• Ensure Discovery Mode is turned off—this mode supports cheat activation
• Verify Cheats are enabled under Cheats > Show All in settings

Step 2: Access Cheats via In-Game Menu

• Open Chat Window (Alt + C)
• Type the command /cheats on to enable all hidden cheat features permanently
• Or manually enable “Real Cheats” from the Cheats menu:
  • Go to Attributes > Settings > Cheats
  • Check “Reveal All Cheats” and ensure “Enable Real Cheats” is toggled ON

Step 3: Persistent Cheat Activation

• Once enabled, cheats remain active until game restart—no toggling required
• Use commands like /cheat for instant effects (e.g., /cheat “Get unlimited money”)
• For full Survival Mode stability, persistent cheat activation via settings is recommended over constant command use
